About

Dasheika Rainney

I am Dasheika. (Dah-she-kuh).

I am a Black woman, a mother, trusted advisor, strategic partner, consultant, speaker, coach, and accessibility, equity, and inclusion advocate.

After coming face to face with systemic inequities blocking my own access to the “American dream,” I wanted to knock down every barrier and open every door for those coming behind me. Through lived experience, I gained passion, purpose and responsibility.

That passion and experience evolved into expertise helping organizations:

attract and maximize their talent

create workplaces that ensured that talent feels valued and engaged

build products and services with the best experience for people, society, and our planet in mind

I believe every single person deserves access to opportunities to build a better life and to actively participate in their fullness in society.

Experience

My experience in Business Transformation and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion includes various roles at multi-billion-dollar organizations that span Higher Education, Non-Profit/NGO, Private sector Federal Contracting in International Development and Aerospace Defense, and Software technology. With over 15 years leading, developing, and executing various organizational development programs and initiatives at the intersection of people, processes, data, and technology, I have come to recognize the importance and power of culturally competent solutions.

Currently, I lead Workday’s the Product Inclusion team responsible for product inclusion advocacy, change management and integrating diversity, equity and inclusion within Product Design and Development. A self-created role that served as the culmination of my co-founding Workday’s Inclusive Products Community, a grassroots effort to advance Product Inclusion at Workday.

I hold a Master of Arts from DePaul University and studied Mass Communications at Saint Augustine’s University. Additionally, I have earned Certifications in, and am continuing education, in Product Management, UX and Design, Change Management, and Diversity Equity and Inclusion.

Outside of the office, I find purpose and passion in advocating for health and education access, equity, and empowerment in my local community. I also support Colon Cancer Awareness, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Special Olympics. In my spare time, I am passionate about educating and coaching and doing MY part to build a better world and equitable and inclusive society for my daughter.
